Library of American Civilization
The Library of American Civilization (LAC) is a collection of microforms relating to all aspects of American life and literature from their beginnings to the outbreak of World War I. There are 9,553 titles in the collection, which includes pamplets, periodicals, biographies and autobiographies, fictional works, poetry, materials of foreign origin relating to America, and many rare books.
Specific titles can be found by searching our online catalog, (advanced search), selecting the numeric search tab and then selecting the field "call number." Key in call number prefix MIC LAC. Items can also be located using The Microbook Library of American Civilization. (REF Z1236 .L5).
This collection is located in the microforms area on the 2nd floor of the library. You are encouraged to ask a library staff member to help you find the collection and get set up with the proper reader/scanner for viewing.
