Description
1875--German--Final scene of the Battle of Arminius--one of the trademark crowd scenes. Saxe-Meiningen used no extras, which limited the numbers available for crowd scenes, but intentionally cramped sets made the actors spill into the wings, creating the illusion of masses offstage.
